Hardware options

Two Camera System - Duplex Printing Made Easy

: Front and back side display / Front to back display

With an optional second camera, PREMIUS digital 3^Chip becomes a very effective tool for simultaneous inspection of both the front and back side of a web.

The package includes two different modes for inspecting the print:

Front and Back (FaB): Camera 1 and camera 2 operate independently from each another and can be positioned in any suitable positions.
Front to Back (FtB): Movement of both cameras is synchronized, i.e. the back camera automatically follows the movement of the front camera.

Strobes

: The optional back strobe serves to check front-to-back register accuracy at many different substrates.

Back Strobe Assembly

A back strobe assembly is used to visually check the front-to-back print register (FTBR) of translucent and many other substrates by illuminating the web from the opposite side. Mounted opposite the camera, the image on the monitor will show the front side printing with the backside printing shining through.

Strobe Options For UV, Coatings Or Lacquers

Because some applications require special image illumination, PREMIUS digital 3^Chip offers a variety of supplemental strobe options - UV strobes (for viewing of UV fluorescent materials) or reflective strobes to view lacquer or coatings more easily. Installation adds another dimension of operator functionality to your system.

Second Viewing Monitor

The optional second viewing monitor is the most cost effective hardware option we offer. Having the ability to monitor the system from multiple locations, means faster response to print problems, even lower waste from the press, improved operator functionality and maximum use of the power of PREMIUS digital 3^Chip:

Inspect print quality from multiple locations
Operators can more easily monitor the system without having to be at the console
Faster response to and correction of identified print, color or bar code defects
Dual camera systems can have simultaneous display of both camera images in full screen mode (only in conjunction with the Dual System Module)
Big monitors with a diagonal of 40“ and more can be connected parallel to the standard 19“ TFT
