BST has introduced its latest generation of web guiding controllers in the form of the ekrPro family. These are based on the CAN bus design and are even more flexible in application. With this equipment, BST has added another chapter to its success story in the web guiding sector.
The use of a standard bus system allows communication with all off-the shelf equipment that supports the CANopen protocol. BST interfaces make it possible to connect to all current popular bus systems.
State of the art engineering in the smallest space
The compact size of the new controllers allows them to be fitted directly on or in the guiding device. Service LEDs on the front plate show the operating status of the controller at any given time.

- Ultrasonic sensor
- Infrared sensor
- Line sensor for contrast sensing (line or edge)
- Reflection sensor
- CCD camera
- Supply voltage: 24 V DC
- Functions:
- Guiding to the right web edge
- Guiding to the left web edge
- Guiding to the center-line
- Guiding to printed lines or edges
- Watch dog function
- Analog inputs:
- 4 x 0... ± 10 V or 0... + 10 V, individual variable
- 2 x 0... ± 9,75 V or 0... + 9,75 V, individual variable
- 1 x Namur adaptation with output

Powerful actuators:
- Direct connection of the complete actuator range from
EMS 5 to EMS 20, with or without position feedback.
- Realisation of higher actuating forces is possible at any time via modular extension.
